60 miles outside of Seattle and long after Sultan Basin Road runs out of pavement there is chalky blue Spada Lake.
The driftwood is high and leaves the impression that Spada has been drained to its lowest point of the year. There’s a washout somewhere between 4 and 5, so we never went past 4. I can’t imagine there being something more beautiful than the view from an abandoned boat launch when it’s sunny and cold.
Hwy 522 to Hwy 2 to Sultan Basin Road to NF 6129.
